Suited for critical process monitoring in industrial equipment, a bar graph instrumentation display has been launched by PRP Optoelectronics. The LED module provides a 100-segment bar graph display and a four-character numeric display. The display operates at 1W, from 18 to 60V DC and at up to 40°C. It can be used as instrumentation displays in nuclear or conventional power stations, petrochemical works or sewage works. The amber-coloured display has an optical contrast enhancement filter and the bar graph display measures 45x2.5mm, with each segment occupying six LED pixels in width. The characters are formed within a 7x4pixel cell, and are 3.3mm high and 1.8mm wide. It has a user-selectable operating mode between current loop and voltage input. The module is designed to fit into 72x24mm or 72x72mm cases, says the company.
